The scenes playing out across the UK media are heartbreaking. People are desperate to escape Afghanistan. I feel hopeless, anxious and overwhelmed. What can we do to help?
Here’s some information I’ve put together on some of the organisations in the South West offering refugee support:
Firstly, to see which councils in the South West require assistance, please see this Government website for more specific details. And, look here if you can offer work or community sponsorship, donate or volunteer.
Also, to campaign for safe, legal passage for Afghan people, especially children, fleeing the Taliban, you can email your MP here, via the Safe Passage website.
